From DailyTech: One of the most important technologies at CES this year has turned out to be 3D-ready TVs and the corresponding 3D programming from major satellite providers. Another of the technologies that has been huge at the show has been portable TVs. Mobile TV has been around in Asia and Europe for a long time now, but here in America mobile TV broadcasts are a new thing. To take advantage of the ATSC M/H TV broadcasts, a number of firms are rolling out portable TVs at CES. One of the companies is VIZIO with its new line of mobile TVs. “From our enormous base of enthusiastic customers, we see a solid set of end users ready to embrace the idea of viewing on the go, and these new mobile Razor LED TVs are the ideal solution,” says Laynie Newsome, VIZIO Co-Founder and VP Sales and Marketing Communications. "Being one of the first to market with the latest in mobile video technology is a perfect example of VIZIO’s ability to deliver the newest and most advanced technologies to the market, and these products have the performance and value that our customers have come to expect.” VIZIO has announced three new portable TV models with 7-inch, 9-inch, and 10-inch screens. The 7-inch VMB070 Mobile Razor LED TV is a bit more than 3/4 of an inch thick and is LED backlit. The screen has a resolution of 800 x 480 and a brightness rating of 250 nits. The TV is controlled with touch sensitive buttons and has inputs for connecting to DVD players and other components.
