From DailyTech: Intel just recently announced new Core i5 and Core i3 processors for the mobile sector. The new processors bring faster performance while keeping power consumption in check. Like many notebook other manufacturers, Dell is updating its Inspiron notebook range to accept the new processors. However, while upgraded processors are always a welcome addition to consumers, Dell today had a few more interesting products to announce. First up is the Alienware M11x which features an 11.6" 720p display complete with switchable NVIDIA GT335M graphics. According to Dell, the M11x "demonstrates the graphics power of a 15-inch laptop in an 11-inch form factor." The M11x will be shipping this spring and will sell for under $1,000. Dell hopes to make the Alienware brand more accessible to consumers with this cheaper offering. Dell is also jumping on the tablet bandwagon with a 5" slate concept that it doesn't want to reveal any specs for yet other than the fact that it runs Google's Android operating system. Dell completely dodged the question as to whether the device would be out later this year. As the press conference is still ongoing, we'll have official pictures/specs of both devices shortly.
