MSI Launches GX640 15" Gaming Notebook with Radeon HD 5850

From DailyTech: Yesterday, we brought you news of a new eco-friendly laptop from Lenovo, the L-Series. Today we turn the tides by going with a high-powered gaming laptop aimed at hardcore gamers on the go.

MSI has announced that its new GX640 15.4" (1680 x 1050) gaming notebook is now available to purchase. The notebook packs an Intel Core i5-430M processor (2.26GHz), 4GB of DDR3 memory, an ATI Radeon HD 5850 graphics card with 1GB of DDR5 memory, a 500GB 7200 RPM HDD, Super-Multi drive, Bluetooth, 802.11a/b/g/n, and a 2.0mp webcam. The 6.3-pound notebook comes with a 9-cell battery.

The notebook comes preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

As a nice touch for gamers, MSI has made the W, S, A, and D keys more pronounced for those looking to run around in first-person shooter titles. The GX460's case is also constructed of brushed aluminum with red accents.

The MSI GX640 is priced at $1,099.99 and is available currently from Amazon.
