From DailyTech: RIM's Blackberry is one of the best selling brands of smartphones on the planet for both consumers and business users. RIM has many different models that operate on different networks and carriers globally. Recently a new device from RIM leaked sporting a not so attractive clamshell form factor and running a new version of the Blackberry OS. That clamshell handset hasn’t been officially unveiled at this point, but RIM has made a couple other devices official today. One of the new smartphones that RIM has introduced is the Blackberry Bold 9650. The device is a global smartphone for CDMA customers that is 3G capable on EVDO networks and HSPA/UMTS networks. The handset has the Blackberry QWERTY keyboard the company is known for and 802.11 b/g WiFi. Internal memory is 512MB and that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSDHC card. A 2GB microSD card is included with the handset. The Bold 9650 measures 4.4" x 2.4" x 0.56" and weighs 4.8 ounces. The screen is 2.44" and it has a resolution of 480 x 360. The camera is a 3.2-megapixel unit with flash, zoom, image stabilization, autofocus, and video recording. The handset will launch in the U.S. in May at an undisclosed price. RIM has also unveiled the Pearl 3G. The device is the smallest Blackberry yet and supports all the features you expect of a Blackberry smartphone. The handset is a candybar design measuring 4.25" x 1.96" x 0.52" and weighing 3.3 ounces. The processor is a 624MHz unit with 256MB of flash memory. A 3.2-megapixel camera is built-in with video recording, autofocus and flash. The device also has 802.11b/g/n WiFi and a microSD card slot. The Pearl 3G operates on tri-band UMTS/HSPDA and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks. The keyboard on the handset is a 20-key condensed QWERTY unit. View: Article @ Source Site |
