From CNET News.com: Episodic, a San Francisco online video platform startup, has been acquired by Google, the privately-helpd company said today on its blog. Terms of the deal were not released. The company said news signups of its service are being suspended during the transition but that existing customers won’t be impacted. As Google continues to raise its game around YouTube, it’s only natural that a company like Episodic - which focuses on things like analytics, content management, monetization, mobile and syndication - would be appealing to the search and ad giant. In a statement on its blog, co-founders Noam Lovinsky and Matias Cudich said: "Episodic and Google share a common vision for video on the Web. Online video will be ubiquitous, engaging, entertaining, informative and effective. Both teams place value on creating a great experience for viewers and on delivering a powerful and flexible platform for publishers, marketers and advertisers of all kinds. We’re very excited to join the talented team at Google and to continue creating great experiences for viewers and powerful platforms for publishers, marketers, and advertisers."
