From DailyTech: Corsair has been quickly filling out its SSD lineup with new product families and new models. Today, the company is adding three new models to its Force Series. The new Force F60, F120, and F240 SSDs feature capacities of 60GB, 120GB, and 240GB respectively. They join the existing F100 (100GB) and F200 (200GB) SSDs. As the names suggest, all of these SSDs are based on a Sandforce (in this case, the SF-1200). And unlike many other SSDs on the market, performance doesn't vary based on the capacity of the drive -- the F60 performs exactly the same as the F240. That means read speeds of 285MB/sec and write speeds of 275MB/sec for the entire product family. “We have had excellent feedback on our Force Series F100 and F200 from both reviewers and customers, and we are excited about expanding our Sandforce-based offerings,” said Jim Carlton, VP of Marketing at Corsair. “These solid-state drives are an excellent option for any enthusiast looking to build their system using the best storage system performance that is currently available.” The three additions to the Force family will be available in June. We don't currently have pricing available, but we've contacted Corsair and expect to have that information for you shortly. View: Article @ Source Site |
