From X-bit Labs: Microsoft Corp. plans to price its Natal motion sensor for Xbox 360 game console at $149 and also sell it bundled with Xbox 360 Arcade version, according to a media report. In spite of relatively high price, the software giant reportedly intends to sell millions of Natal units in the first year. Just a little more than half a year ago it was reported that Natal will cost around $79, however, on Wednesday Edge-Online web-site reported that the unit will cost $149, which is nearly two times higher. In addition, the motion sensor will also be available bundled with Xbox 360 Arcade at the price of $299. “Microsoft expects to sell millions and millions of Natal units in its first year on the market so you can expect the software launch line-up to target non-traditional gamers. A major marketing campaign will also play a key role in attracting and educating the expanded audience about Xbox 360’s controller-free revolution,” a media source is reported to have said. The possible launch date of the Natal – which official name is set to be released at the E3 – is October 26, as earlier reported citing a Microsoft executive. View: Article @ Source Site |
