Nikon Unveils 16.2MP D7000 D-SLR

From DailyTech: New digital camera announcements have been coming at a furious pace over the past few weeks. However, Nikon is stealing the spotlight today with the announcement of its new D7000 D-SLR.

The D7000 makes use of Nikon's new EXPEED 2 image processing engine along with a 16.2MP CMOS sensor. Also included is an impressive 39-point autofocus system paired with a RGB 3D Matrix Metering System (2,016 pixels).

The D7000 can record 1080p video at 24 fps or 720p at 24 fps/30 fps. Unfortunately, recording time is limited to just 20 minutes. Live View can be enabled during movie recording with a dedicated button and a stereo microphone is include for sound recording.

Other features include a 3" (921,000 pixel) LCD, 6 fps burst mode, autofocus in Live View mode, and twin Secure Digital card slots (SDXC compatibility).
