NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti GPU Breaks Cover

From DailyTech: NVIDIA has gone official today with the GeForce GTX 560 Ti video card. The new GPU used in the card promises 33% faster average performance and more overclocking headroom than previous cards. The GPU uses the Fermi architecture and supports DirectX 11.

The video card is designed for quiet operation and minimal power consumption. According to NVIDIA, the GTX 560 Ti is up to 65% faster in the newest DX11 tessellation games and 30% faster in previous generation DX 9 and DX 10 games. The card has eight tessellation engines, 384 CUDA cores, and a graphics core that is clocked at 822MHz by default.

"The GTX 560 Ti GPU has it all: awesome DX11 performance, terrific overclockability, and ultra quiet operation -- attributes of the perfect performance GPU," said Drew Henry, general manager of GeForce GPU business at NVIDIA. "With the GTX 560 Ti under the hood, and an awesome library of DX11 titles coming in the very short future, it is truly a great time to be a PC gamer!"

The card supports NVIDIA 3D Vision and 3D Surround technologies. The GTX 560 Ti can also be paired with another in SLI.

The GTX 560 Ti has an MSRP of $249 and is set for immediate availability from a wide range of card partners. NVIDIA also notes that there will be overclocked versions of the cards available alongside the stock clocked cards.
