Microsoft to preview IE10 at Mix11 show

From CNET News.com: Just weeks after launching Internet Explorer 9, Microsoft will preview an early version of Internet Explorer 10 at its Mix11 conference here in Las Vegas today.

Microsoft will deepen its commitment to HTML5 in the new browser. "With Internet Explorer 9, Web sites can take advantage of the power of modern hardware and a modern operating system and deliver experiences that were not possible a year ago," Dean Hachamovitch, corporate vice president of Internet Explorer, said in a statement. "Internet Explorer 10 will push the boundaries of what developers can do on the Web even further."

By putting its considerable weight behind the HTML5 standard, Microsoft is hoping to convince other developers to follow.
