Verizon's New Data Plans Detailed

From DailyTech: Although Verizon's tiered-data plan launch July 7 has not been officially announced by the mobile giant, we've been expecting it for quite some time.

But thanks to AndroidCentral, any doubts about the legitimacy of the launch claims can now be put to rest. A source has provided AC with "charts, e-mails, the whole kit and kaboodle," detailing the plans (and confirming the launch date).

As previously reported, smartphone plans start at $30 a month for 2GB of data. Fifty dollars buys you 5GB, and $80 gets you 10GB. Overages run $10 per extra GB, and the plans apply to both 3G or 4G devices.

Mobile hotspot access will run $20 per month for 2GB.

"Dumbphone" users will have the choice between a pay-per-use plan that runs $1.99/MB or $10 for 75MB of data.
