HP Unveils New Range of AIO Computers

From DailyTech: HP has been in the news a lot recently. The company is the largest shipper of PCs around, but it is unable to compete in the tablet and smartphone market.

HP was considering the sale of its computer business, but is now said to be leaning more to a spinoff than selling. Any thoughts of making significant changes to the computer side of things hasn’t kept the company from offering up new machines.

HP has a new line of all-in-one computers that have been unveiled today. The AIO machines claim to have something for everyone. Starting the new introductions is the space saving HP Omni series AIOs. They come in Omni 120 and Omni 220 varieties. Both have integrated speakers, HD displays, and HP LinkUp tech. The will launch on September 21 for $399 and September 11 for $799 respectively.

"The popularity of the all-in-one form factor continues to grow, and HP’s contribution to this market is significant. We continue to expand our portfolio to remain the global leader in Windows-based all-in-one PCs, introducing innovation that matters to business customers and consumers alike," said Todd Bradley, Executive Vice President, Personal Systems Group, HP.

The next machines in the new line are in the HP TouchSmart series. These machines include the 20-inch TouchSmart 320, the 21.5-inch HP TouchSmart 420, and the 23-inch HP TouchSmart 520. The TouchSmart 520 and 620 will both get Beats Audio and can be paired with an optional HP Pulse subwoofer. The 320 will land on October 2 starting at $599.99. The 420 and 520 will land September 11 starting at $699.99 and $899.99 respectively.
