Motorola Droid Razr Maxx hitting Verizon on January 26

From CNET News.com: Verizon just made the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx ship date official. Enhanced with a big battery designed for maximum endurance, Android fans can scoop up the pricey $299.99 superphone in stores on January 26th.

First unveiled at CES last month, the Droid Razr Maxx boasts a fat 3,300 mAh battery pack yet still manages to keep a slim 0.35 inch silhouette.

The phone is really an evolved Droid Razr and features the same attributes which made the original handset compelling. These include a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, big 4.3 inch Super AMOLED HD display, and 4G LTE data connection. An 8 Megapixel main camera captures 1080p HD video which a front-facing HD camera sits above the screen for video chat.

A hefty allotment of memory is bundled with the Razr Maxx as well, 16GB on board plus a 16GB microSD card comes factory-installed. Running the show is Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 but Verizon plans an upgrade to version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Big red also claims the phone will dish out 21 hours of talk time too. I can't wait to get a sample in to verify the Razr Maxx's longevity myself.
