Sony Outs VAIO T13 Ultrabook and Plethora of New VAIO Notebooks

From DailyTech: Sony has made a big unveil with multiple new computers at Computex 2012. One of the more interesting is the new VAIO T ultrabook. The new T series is very slim ultrabook made from magnesium and aluminum. The new T series ultrabook uses many of the same features as the ultra-premium VAIO Z series notebooks.

"Thin and light is nothing new to Sony – we built the T Series Ultrabook from many of the same features as our amazingly thin and powerful ultra-premium VAIO Z Series, which has long exceeded Ultrabook specifications," said Mike Abary, senior vice president of Networked Technology and Services Division of Sony Electronics. "Our entire new VAIO portfolio incorporates the best technology from our innovative digital imaging, sound and TV divisions and unique features across all the models such as backlit keyboard and Sony's Rapid Wake technology. The new VAIO family continues Sony's efforts to offer advanced performance and design that fit all business and personal lifestyles."

The VAIO T13 ultrabook has a 13.3-inch display and uses an Intel ULV Core processor. The machine can be fitted with an optional SSD for storage or a hybrid drive using a traditional hard drive with flash storage integrated. The 14-inch machines make due with second-generation Core processors while the 15.5-inch units get second or third-generation Core processors.

One of the cooler notebooks Sony has unveiled is the LL Cool J E14P Boomdizzle Bundle. This machine is a bundle in red and black design with the Boomdizzle MyConnect Studio tech installed to allow the recording, editing, and production of music. The bundle also comes with Sony MDR-V55 DJ headphones to match the notebook.
