Samsung Unveils Galaxy Grand Smartphone

From DailyTech: Samsung has pulled the wraps off a new smartphone in its Galaxy family called the Galaxy Grand. The smartphone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and has a large five-inch display. This is another phone from Samsung that skirts the gap between the traditional smartphone and a tablet.

The Grand also has a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, integrated GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, integrated Wi-Fi, 8 GB of user accessible memory, and a microSD card slot supporting up to 64 GB cards for expansion. The phone has an integrated accelerometer, digital compass, proximity sensor, and Gyro. The phone operates on common HSPA+/EDGE/GPRS networks.

The phone is loaded with the latest version of Samsung Hubs, which delivers popular games movies and music on demand. The phone will be offered in two versions including a dual-SIM version that launches first, followed by a single-SIM version later. The dual-SIM version of the smartphone allows users to manage two phone numbers with a single phone.

Pricing and availability are unknown at this time.
