From X-bit Labs: Nvidia Corp. has barely responded to AMD’s highly-popular Never Settle bundles, which significantly boosted sales of AMD Radeon HD graphic cards, but it clearly plans to do so. Based on media reports, the company intends to bundle Metro Last Light video game with some of its GeForce GTX graphics cards. According to a report by TechPowerUp web-site, Nvidia plans to respond to Never Settle campaign of its main competitor on the market of graphics cards by giving away Metro: Last Light with all GeForce GPUs upwards of the $200 price-point, which means GeForce GTX 660 or better. The bundle will go live from April 16th, the game itself is set to be available in mid-May at the price of around $50/€50. Metro Last Light is a sequel to the million-selling Metro 2033 video game, which is based on Metro 2033 sci-fi book by Dmitri Glukhovsky, which tells a story about a post-nuclear war life of survivors deep in the Moscow metropolitan system, the biggest air-raid shelter ever built. Mr. Glukhovsky, the author of Metro 2033 and Metro 2034, originally planned to write another Metro-series book, but then wrote a scenario for the Metro Last Light video game. Since the Metro 2033 universe books written by different authors are among the most popular series in many countries, including Russia and Ukraine, the Metro Last Light promises to become a game of choice for millions. While adding a free copy of Metro Last Light game with its graphics cards should be enough to attract attention to GeForce graphics cards, the campaign will barely beat AMD’s Never Settle Reloaded, which includes three or four AAA titles with the purchase of high-end graphics cards and two AAA titles with low-cost graphics cards.
