From X-bit Labs: Nvidia Corp. on Monday introduced a new family of mobile graphics processing units for notebooks as well as began to introduce the new breed of Kepler graphics processors by rolling-out code-named GK208 chip. The new family of mobile GPUs provide a step up in performance compared to last year’s models and come with a set of new features. "There is an elegant simplicity to Nvidia's GeForce 700M notebook technologies. You use your notebook how you want, and GeForce makes your experience awesome," said Rene Haas, vice president and general manager of the notebook business unit at Nvidia. The new lineup of GeForce 700M is based on already well-known GK107 and GF117 chips, but also includes a new GK208 processor, based on unofficial information. The new chips introduce GPU Boost 2.0 technology, which overclocks graphics processors and thus provides up to 15% of additional performance, depending on the application and system headroom that is available. Notebooks with GeForce 700M will also come with GeForce Experience software, which adjusts in-game settings for the best performance and visual quality specific to a user's notebook and keeps GeForce drivers up to date. The GeForce 700M family consists of models GT 750M, GT 745M, GT 740M, GT 735M, GT 720M and 710M GPUs. NVIDIA GeForce 700M GPUs are available starting today. Every leading notebook manufacturer will be introducing notebooks with GPU Boost 2.0 technology, including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Samsung, Sony and Toshiba. View: Article @ Source Site |
