Details of Samsung Galaxy Note III Camera Tipped

From DailyTech: Starting in the second half of 2013, Samsung will be launching the new Galaxy Note III. One of the big features of the Note III will be a versatile camera module with built-in anti-shake technology.

The camera sensor used inside the Note III will have a resolution of 13-megapixels and promises to be comparable to other top digital cameras on the market. The camera will use optical image stabilization and Samsung is reportedly considered fitting the Note III with 3x optical zoom.

An unnamed Samsung executive said, "We are pondering various technologies at this stage - for example, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and shutter functions. But, nothing has yet to be confirmed, so we cannot conclusively say that those functions will be added to the Galaxy Note 3."

There is some indication, however, that the thickness of the device when fitted with optical zoom was an issue for Samsung and that it could eliminate the feature in the final device.

Other rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note III will have a 5.9-inch display packed inside of a body no bigger than the Galaxy Note II.

The Galaxy Note III is expected to be unveiled at IFA 2013 in Berlin this September.
