From X-bit Labs: Toys R Us, a global juvenile-products retail chain, has revealed launch dates of Microsoft Xbox One game console on all 21 markets the software giant plans to ship the system to this year. In a bid to get maximum media coverage and excitement over social networks, the software giant will start to sell Xbox One almost at the same time across all markets, in case the dates provided by Toys R Us are correct. Gamers from the U.K. will be able to lay their hands on Microsoft Xbox One on November 29, 2013, according to Toys R Us in the country. Their peers from North America will be able to buy Xbox One consoles beginning from November 30, 2013, based on the estimated shipment date from Toys R Us in the U.S. The release dates were first revealed on August 31, 2013, and by press time have neither been altered nor removed. Previously it was expected that the console will ship on November 27, 2013. Just like the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One will also not have a lot of time to sell in the retail this calendar year. Nonetheless, Microsoft has already said that virtually all retailers/e-tailers in the U.S. have already sold the amount of Xbox One systems that the software company promised to supply them. Therefore, it looks like both Microsoft and Sony expect more from pre-orders and/or online sales than from retail availability. Microsoft did not comment on the news-story. Any launch dates of the Xbox One unconfirmed by Microsoft should be considered as unofficial. View: Article @ Source Site |
