Verizon Makes Free Apple Music Offer Permanent on Unlimited Plans

From PC Mag: Signing up for an Apple Music account requires paying the $9.99 monthly subscription cost. However, Verizon just increased the value of its unlimited plans by including free access to Apple Music for the length of your contract. It's an offer that's sure to tempt some into purchasing a new phone on Verizon this year.

As Engadget reports, Verizon started offering free access to Apple Music last year, but subscribers had to start paying for it after six months. Such was the popularity of the offer, Verizon decided to make it a more permanent arrangement. So from Jan. 17, new and existing subscribers to Verizon's Beyond Unlimited and Above Unlimited plans will gain permanent access to Apple Music for free. That's as long as you keep subscribing, of course.

A Beyond Unlimited plan costs $85 per month with auto pay and paper-free billing. It includes unlimited 4G LTE data, unlimited talk and text, Mexico and Canada included, HD streaming, and unlimited mobile hotspot with 15GB of data per line at 4G speeds. Above Unlimited plans cost $95. The extra $10 gets you premium unlimited 4G LTE, five TravelPass days per month, 500GB of cloud storage, and increases the mobile hotspot data allowance to 20GB per line.

It's worth noting that Go Unlimited subscriptions also gain access to Apple Music, but only with six months of free access. Go Unlimited is cheaper at $75 per month, but you are limited to 480p streaming and 600Kbps speeds for mobile hotspot use.
