SiriusXM Channels Heading to Google Assistant Devices

From PC Mag: SiriusXM and its full array of channels will soon stream on any Google Assistant-enabled device. Just use your voice, and the digital assistant will tap into channels for music, news, sports, comedy, and more.

As they do in vehicles or with other connected devices, SiriusXM subscribers can access around-the-clock, ad-free content anywhere. Audio content will be offered first, but SiriusXM and Google say they'll add video content on smart displays like the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max later this year.

Google Assistant integration will also initially be limited to the United States and Canada. Expect the SiriusXM integration to go live on supported devices next week,

SiriusXM-related requests will work on smart speakers along with iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

"The Google Assistant and Google Nest's portfolio of connected home devices, including the Google Home and Nest Hub, utilize intuitive voice recognition technology that makes them a great way for subscribers to experience SiriusXM's compelling and exclusive content in the home," said SiriusXM's Jennifer Witz.
