From PC Mag: Spotify is rolling out a trio of accessibility improvements that allow mobile users to increase readability features, resize text, and see podcast transcriptions.
"We believe each change is part of our long-term mission to create a platform where everyone can enjoy an immersive artistic experience," the company wrote in a Tuesday blog announcement.
Riding the digital caption wave, Spotify is introducing auto-generated podcast transcripts. Available initially as a limited beta for select original and exclusive series across iOS and Android, the feature will allow users to read along on their phone with or without sound. Click on any paragraph to start playing directly from that point.
"This is just the first step for the podcast transcript experience," the blog said, adding that its "overall ambition is to enable transcripts across all podcasts on Spotify."
