Microsoft Made a Mouse Using Recycled Ocean Plastic

From PC Mag: Our oceans are filling up with plastic, but some companies are attempting to remove and reuse it. Microsoft is the latest to do so, and will start selling an Ocean Plastic Mouse next month.

Ocean plastic is recovered, cleaned, and processed to become plastic resin pellets, which can then be used in new products. Typically, the pellets are blended with other materials to create the final parts. This isn't a wireless mouse made purely from ocean plastic, though.

Microsoft says each mouse contains 20% recycled ocean plastic, but it also ships in 100% recyclable packaging. The box holding the mouse uses recyclable wood and sugarcane natural fibers. Microsoft also offers a free mail-in program so you can send your old mouse in to be recycled.
