Google to Let Pixel Superfans Test the Phones Before Their Release

From PC Mag: Google will let up to 15 Pixel Superfans test out unreleased phones and submit feedback, Bloomberg reports.

The Pixel Superfans program has been around since 2020 and is a space where Pixel fans come together to discuss all things Pixel. Members get access to exclusive events, Q&A opportunities with Google's employees, and a private Discord channel.

While these perks still exist, Google is introducing a new contest where winners will receive a hands-on experience with unreleased Pixel phones. The idea behind the program is "to provide feedback and help shape a Pixel phone currently in development," according to a document viewed by Bloomberg.

To join the Trusted Tester program, Superfans must showcase their in-depth knowledge of Pixel phones and suggest areas of improvement. Google will then select 15 winners, who will be required to sign non-disclosure agreements to receive the phones. They will also be asked to place the phones in a protective case to avoid leaks.
