From PC World: Samsung is set to roll out native support for Google Photos on its AI-powered TVs next year.
Ahead of CES 2026, the company said it's working with Google to "give users a seamless way to enjoy the moments that matter most, from trips and hobbies to everyday memories with loved ones—now on an immersive and larger screen."
Surprisingly, Google Photos has never had a fully functional native TV app, not even on Google's own Android or Google TV platforms. Once the support begins rolling out to Samsung TVs in March, it will be exclusive to the company for six months.
At launch, the Photos app will only support the Memories feature on Samsung TVs, which automatically highlights your best photos in curated collections organized by people, places, or meaningful occasions. (The feature needs to be turned on in Settings.)
