ARCTIC BioniX P120 A-RGB and P12 PWM PST RGB 0dB Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

I think humans have a natural desire to meet with one another and seek out friendship. There is nothing as reliable as simple human interaction, just like there is nothing as reliable for cooling as a simple fan. Both the ARCTIC BioniX P120 A-RGB and P12 PWM PST RGB 0dB shine in different ways. I mean this quite literally as I am quite pleased by the general appearance of both. While the P12 PWM looks quite standard, the BioniX P120 A-RGB is a bit more unique, utilizing a ring light design. I can appreciate the minimalist design for both models. The looks are also backed up by great performance. Our tests revealed the BioniX P120 A-RGB and P12 PWM both executed our tests with good air movement characteristics observed. Furthermore, they kept a low noise output while doing so. As much praise I have given these two fans, they both have slight flaws to consider. The P12 PWM only uses a RGB header rather than an ARGB header, but this is a known limitation. As for the BioniX P120 A-RGB, I did like the innovation in how the fans are connected, but the connector block does not feel very secure as nothing else holds the fans together. Even so, neither of these problems are deal breakers for me as they can both be worked around. Currently, the ARCTIC BioniX P120 A-RGB comes as a single fan for $25 USD or as a three-pack with a controller for $60 USD. The P12 PWM PST RGB 0dB is priced at $15 USD for a single fan or $40 USD as a three-pack. These prices are quite good for the amount of performance you are getting out of them. If you want to have some clean cable management, the BioniX P120 A-RGB is definitely a good option for you, but the P12 PWM definitely steals the show for me as it hits an excellent price-to-performance ratio.
