ASUS ROG Strix Scope Impact II Moonlight White Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

After putting the ASUS ROG Strix Scope Impact II Moonlight White through the tests, I find it quite the appealing mouse. We have a clean design that does not shout the word "gaming". The mouse is symmetrical and visually pleasing in my opinion by incorporating an ambidextrous design. The build quality is quite good with a body that does not feel hollow at all. The ROG Strix Scope Impact II Moonlight White is weighted reasonably and easy to move around. A pleasant surprise I found was the PixArt PAW3327 sensor. Despite being an entry-level sensor with numbers on the lower end, it performed adequately for the price point. In my testing, I did not find any overly noticeable issues, and the ROG Strix Scope Impact II Moonlight White’s tracking is quite smooth and accurate. This choice of sensor makes a lot of sense, as this is more of a budget product. Inside the mouse, we have Omron 50M switches, which feel good for the most part. You can even swap them out if you want something else. There are a couple of areas for improvement I would like to see, such as a braided cable for better durability and rubber grips to make holding the mouse easier and more comfortable. I think these are reasonable requests for the price bracket this mouse is in. Currently, the ASUS ROG Strix Scope Impact II Moonlight White can be found for around $50 USD, which is a bit higher than what I would expect for an entry-level product. It is the same price as the excellent ROCCAT Burst Pro, which sports a high-end sensor and has a braided cable. Still, if I was just starting out and in the market for a new mouse, the ROG Strix Scope Impact II Moonlight White would catch my eye. Better mice exist at this price, but none of them look as good as this mouse in my opinion. If you are looking for an entry level mouse that has a clean design, the ASUS ROG Strix Scope Impact II Moonlight White is an option.
