Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

While I have a ways to go before I would ever call myself an experienced cook or even just proficient in the kitchen, I think the Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB has done quite a few things to make it masterful in the cooling department. From the beginning, Cooler Master has included all the accessories to not only fit this on all sorts of hardware, but also to make it shine brightly. It is built fairly well, whether it is the braided tubing for a nice touch or the radiator. Installation is a pretty simple task as I had no issues trying to get this unit installed in my system. In addition, the bright lights once the ML240R RGB turned on was truly amazing. Not only were the color combinations and effects eye-catching, but its lighting was even and vivid. When it came to actually cooling our processor, the large 240mm radiator did well to keep it in contention with other liquid and air coolers. If there were two areas I would look at improving the MasterLiquid ML240R on, it would be in terms of noise and their included light controller. Despite keeping the processor cool on a warm day and under load, the loud pump and fans were definitely heard. I will never expect it to be quieter than an air cooler as there are just more moving parts, but I think improvements to both components could be made for a quieter build. I also think Cooler Master needs to provide more information on their included RGB controller and improve on the connection points. At a retail price of $120 USD, it is not exactly the cheapest AIO cooler we have seen, especially considering how short the included warranty is. However, I think the combination of vibrant lighting and performance makes for a very capable and beautiful liquid all-in-one nonetheless.
