Corsair iCUE Link LX120 RGB Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

Returning to the question I posed in the introduction of this review, was the Corsair iCUE Link LX120 RGB a good cooling fan pack with the help of all the electronic components? I can confidently say that the Corsair iCUE Link LX120 RGB is an excellent cooling fan pack overall. Firstly, it effectively cools down your computer. In our tissue paper test, the fans demonstrated significant air pressure. In real-world scenarios, high airflow helps maintain large volumes of cool air through your system, while the high static pressure efficiently handles situations with obstructions in the airflow path. Additionally, the fan enhances the aesthetic appeal of your setup with its eighteen RGB LEDs, which are evenly diffused throughout the entire impeller area for a smooth lighting effect. Most importantly, by using both physical connectors and magnets to join multiple fans, the setup not only reduces cable management challenges, but also allows for quick and efficient fan installation. The iCUE software further enhances the user experience, making lighting customization easy and enjoyable. With the iCUE software, you can adjust lighting effects and even synchronize the lighting with other components that support iCUE Link. In terms of material quality, the fan is well-engineered. Rubber pads are used at the mounting points to reduce vibration and noise, the glossy coating on the fan blades provides reduced air resistance, and the magnetic dome bearing ensures both low noise levels and a long lifespan. There are not a lot of things to criticize with the Corsair iCUE Link LX120 RGB. iCUE is easy to use and intuitive, although it does tend to be more resource-intensive. The proprietary connectors require the use of the included fan hub, which comes with the 3-pack. This is the cost of having the convenience of managing both ARGB lighting and fan motor control through a single daisy-chained cable. While the retail price of $115 USD for three fans and a controller may seem high, considering the overall build quality, cooling performance, and RGB effects, I believe it is still a worthwhile investment if you are looking for high-performing RGB fans that also look great.
