One one hand, it is a soft mousepad with a textured fabric surface. The unique surface allows the mousepad to strike an excellent balance between smooth glide and precise control. It also offers a reasonable amount of resistance to allow smooth handling of your mouse. On the other hand, the texture on the front surface provides a semi-hard mousepad usage experience, which means the glide is smooth. With the help of the silicone base, this mousepad can stay firmly on your desk no matter how much you need to abuse your mouse during gameplay. The slightly higher noise level of this product is expected, but it is not as loud as hard surfaces you are used to. The overall built-quality is high. The heat molding edge should be able to guarantee long lifespan with no frayed fabric. As far as the cost is concerned, the Gigabyte AORUS AMP500 comes with a $44 USD price tag at the press time. It is going to cost you a few hours of work, but if you are looking for a decent gaming mousepad that blurs the line between hard and soft surfaces, Gigabyte's AORUS AMP500 is made to last you for years to come.
