The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Following up next are our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is an often-quoted benchmark because it is easy to use and accurate. For the most part, it is a favorite among reviewers, and I have grown to embrace it as much as the next for the last little while. ATTO uses easily compressible data, so compression-heavy controllers will perform very well here. As far as the Phison PS5018-E18 controller on the FURY Renegade is concerned, well, here are our results. The Kingston FURY Renegade 1TB peaked at 6970MB/s read and 5690MB/s write. Under the read curve, it delivered solid speeds with a decent margin ahead of the ADATA Legend 960 1TB until 512K. The much cheaper Crucial P3 Plus 1TB was the fastest up to 512K, and even then, the FURY Renegade 1TB was mostly tied with it. Under the write curve, the Kingston FURY Renegade 1TB continued to deliver near chart-topping performance across the range, but it was still no match for the newer ADATA Legend 960 1TB and bigger capacity Lexar Professional NM800 PRO 2TB. Overall, the Kingston FURY Renegade 1TB's performance is still excellent, thanks to the fast PCIe 4.0 interface, powerful controller, and improved firmware compared to the KC3000.
