About HD Tune Pro 5.70
HD Tune Pro is a hard disk / SSD utility with many functions. It can be used to measure the drive's performance, scan for errors, check the health status (S.M.A.R.T.), securely erase all data and much more.

Unfortunately, HD Tune does not generate any fancy independent graph outputs in particular, so I just took a screenshot of the program. The Lexar PLAY 1TB's throughput remained very flat on average. While HD Tune is more of a drag race than a clear indication of real-life performance, it is an excellent storage performance reference among SSDs with the same controller. The results were good across the range and the recorded access time was low, as we would expect from a solid state drive.
The Lexar PLAY 1TB posted an average of 1932.2MB/s for its sequential read speed, which is good compared to other budget performance PCIe 4.0-based drives. The WD_BLACK SN770M 2TB posted 996.3MB/s. The fastest drive on record was the Lexar Professional NM800 PRO 2TB at 3065.7MB/s. At the end of the day, HD Tune may not be the best test for solid state drives all the time, but these results are always interesting to look at.
