Page 6 - Conclusion
Is the Lexar Professional 1800x SDXC UHS-II Gold 256GB a perfect balance between speed, capacity, warranty, and price with its large capacity and high-speed UHS-II certification? To start off, let us talk about its performance. Based on our extensive testing, the Lexar Professional Gold card delivered solid speed; matching its rated linear figures of 270MB/s read and 180MB/s write in our benchmarks. When it comes to small and random file writes in ATTO and Crystal Disk Mark, Lexar's latest SDXC card delivered exceptional numbers thanks to the flash memory's high IOPS performance. Simply put, its performance is excellent. You can buy an even faster 2000x card from the company, but the 1800x version we are reviewing today is plenty fast. Capacity is exactly what is advertised -- its 256GB storage capacity is a lot of space. It is too bad the 1800x SDXC UHS-II Gold lineup does not come in larger 512GB or even 1TB variants, but you already know what you are getting into. For about $110 at press time, the Lexar Professional 1800x SDXC UHS-II Gold 256GB offers tons of bang for your buck if you are looking for a speedy card. As for the warranty? The limited lifetime warranty is the cherry on the cake to ensure you are covered for years to come.
