MechLands Vibe75 Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

After our inspections, I can safely say the MechLands Vibe75 sets an inviting and friendly vibe with its physical and usability aspects. I appreciate the sufficient build quality with a mix of ABS plastic and aluminum frame to keep the structure sturdy. Features that seem to be staples in modern keyboards include RGB LED lighting, wired and wireless operation, hot-swappable switches, and PBT keycaps. The Vibe75 has all of these, as well as two levels of kickstands, support for both Windows and Mac layout, and an easy-to-swap LCD screen or volume knob. However, my favorite thing is the typing experience. The MechLands Cream Mint switches offer a linear feel and a nice sound when pressed. The longer stabilized keys are also consistent with the rest of the keyboard. When we open it up, it becomes very evident why typing is a joy. The multiple layers of dampening are combined with a gasket-mounted deck and factory lubricated switches and stabilizers. This adds to its excellent tactile and audible feedback. On the other hand, there are still some negative points. For one, its wireless battery life is average but not great, especially with the lighting turned on. Furthermore, the software is unorganized and could be refined for a better user experience. Finally, I wish MechLands made it easier to take apart the Vibe75 without any necessary breakage, as there will still be some users who want to make some modifications. Even so, the silver linings on this cloud-like keyboard outshine any problems we might have. At the time of the review, the MechLands Vibe75 is available for $80, which is a very accessible price. If you are looking for a favorable feel in a compact body, the Vibe75 is a great option.
