About AIDA64 Engineer

AIDA64 Engineer has a hardware detection engine unrivaled in its class. It provides detailed information about installed software and offers diagnostic functions and support for overclocking. As it is monitoring sensors in real time, it can gather accurate voltage, temperature and fan speed readings, while its diagnostic functions help detect and prevent hardware issues. It also offers a couple of benchmarks for measuring the performance of individual hardware components or the whole system. It is compatible with all 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions, including Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022.

Since our SSD review benchmark results are presented in alphabetical order, first up on the list are results from one of our favorite benchmarking programs, AIDA64 Engineer. Version 7.00.6700, the latest release at press time, can be downloaded from our Downloads page. Just to note, AIDA64 Engineer is a full synthetic benchmark. Unlike full synthetic motor oil, this usually does not always carry a good connotation. While it is not a representation of real-life performance -- such as how fast copying 50,000 photos occurs -- it does provide valuable insight into performance between different drives and different controllers.

As you can see in our graphs above, the Netac ZX10 2TB's results were in-line with other portable USB 3.2 Gen 2 solid state drives. You can probably tell which ones these are -- the Kingston XS1000 2TB, Crucial X9 Pro 2TB, both Crucial X8s, Lexar Professional SL100 Pro 500GB, and LaCie Rugged SSD 1TB. It scored consistently around the 930MB/s mark in the linear read segment. Faster drives include USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 models and the ADATA SE920 1TB, which is USB4. The tested latency was very low with an average of 0.08ms. The rest of the comparison results against all the other drives can be seen in our graphs above.
