The Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 chromax.black series of 140mm fans shows Noctua's commitment to this lineup without any compromises. It is no surprise these fans are built well with their liquid crystal polymer fan impeller and SSO2 bearings internally. Multiple design choices on the blades and hub show the manufacturer's engineering prowess and dedication to maximize performance and minimize noise. I appreciate all the other additions for the fans, including the multiple anti-vibration solutions, low noise adapters, and splitters. In performance, the NF-A14x25 G2 chromax.black shows its capability in delivering performance without getting too loud. Its optimal execution means it will move air without making a racket. It may lack overall visual appeal or differentiation with the chromax.black, but it does mean the rest of your system will shine. The only thing I would think about improving is making the regular cable longer than 20cm, so it eliminates the need for an extension, but this is a minor inconvenience and adds some flexibility to the user. At the time of the review, the single NF-A14x25 G2 PWM chromax.black fan is available for $45, while the two pack NF-A14x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP chromax.black is $85. Both the original and the chromax.black versions are currently the same price. Even if it is a small fortune to pay for fans, there is no denying the excellent capabilities of the Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 chromax.black series to move air without making too much noise, making the product worth the premium.
