Since our SSD review benchmark results are presented in alphabetical order, first up on the list are results from one of our favorite benchmarking programs, AIDA64 Extreme Engineer. Just to note, AIDA64 Extreme Engineer is a full synthetic benchmark. Unlike full synthetic motor oil, this usually does not carry a good connotation, but it does provide valuable insight into performance between different drives and different controllers. As you can see in our graphs above, the tried-and-true SandForce based OCZ Vertex 3.20 240GB with updated 20nm Intel flash ICs is still among the best. In fact, it actually beat out the OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS 240GB -- one of the fastest SF-2281 drives in the market -- in all but one test. The only exception is its average access time of 0.11ms is quite a bit off the flagship Vertex 3's 0.05ms figure, but you are unlikely to notice any difference in real life.
