About ATTO Disk Benchmark
The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

When it comes to ATTO Disk Benchmark, this is one test we love to throw at all our products. This easy-to-use and accurate test usually favor SandForce based SSDs due to the use of easily compressible data. When we look at the Patriot Blaze 240GB, you can see Patriot has done their homework well. In both the read and write tests, the Blaze definitely hit the rated speeds of 555MB/s and 535MB/s, respectively. In fact, the Patriot Blaze was able to eke about a bit more read speed with 559.24MB/s as its top result. Comparing to similarly priced SSDs, the Blaze 240GB is faster than the ARC 100 and the Ultra II, but is very similar in performance to the other Phison-based drive, the Slim S80. It is also faster than our past two Patriot SSDs, the Pyro and the Pyro SE. Finally, comparing with some of our faster solid state storage like the OCZ Vector 150, the Blaze 240GB proves it is no slouch, and can hold its own ground. This is great to see considering the price difference. As with all the drives, the Patriot Blaze follows a similar curve as its recorded speeds increase with the tested transfer size.
