About 3DMark

The new 3DMark includes everything you need to benchmark your hardware. With three all new tests you can bench everything from smartphones and tablets, to notebooks and home PCs, to the latest high-end, multi-GPU gaming desktops. And it's not just for Windows. With 3DMark you can compare your scores with Android and iOS devices too. It's the most powerful and flexible 3DMark we've ever created.

Like Futuremark's PCMark 8 benchmarking suite, 3DMark is yet another favorite among enthusiasts and reviewers alike. In fact, it has been part of the APH Networks' battery of standard benchmarks since the very beginning. The latest iteration of 3DMark is available in four presets. This includes Fire Strike Extreme, Sky Diver, Cloud Gate, and Ice Storm Extreme; each in decreasing order of GPU dependency. To give our test platform a little more comprehensive results, I enabled the Extreme option in our tests, where possible. As you can see in our graphs above, the DDR4-2800 Patriot Viper 4 PC4-22400 2x8GB remained generally consistent with the pack. Bandwidth played a small role here, so although most of the tests ended up being statistical ties, the Patriot Viper came through the middle in all of them.
