Are the Patriot Viper Elite 5 Ultra DDR5-6400 2x24GB secretly DDR5-8400 or faster RAM acting as DDR5-6400 memory, or was my last overclock with the Viper Elite 5 Ultra RGB DDR5-6000 2x24GB a fluke? To recall, I was able to push the Viper Elite 5 Ultra RGB DDR5-6000 up 40% to DDR5-8400 with the timings loosened to 40-52-52-135 to match the Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-8400 2x24GB that has the same SK hynix M-die ICs. With today's unit, I was able to push the Patriot Viper Elite 5 Ultra DDR5-6400 2x24GB an awesome 1.8GHz up to DDR5-8200 40-52-52-135 with verified Prime95 stability at stock 1.40V. This represents a 28% overclock, which, while not nearly as impressive as my last, is still impressive nonetheless. As always, your mileage may vary. In our rest results, the Patriot Viper Elite 5 Ultra DDR5-6400 2x24GB configured with my Intel Core Ultra 7 265K CPU delivered solid performance for its speed class. The medium profile heatspreaders will not likely interfere with anything, and if anything goes sideways, there is a lifetime warranty like other Patriot Viper memory products. Keep in mind these are not CUDIMMs, so there is no clock driver used to regenerate the clock cycle for improved stability at higher frequencies. For about $400 at press time, or whatever the price and availability may be when you read this article, the Patriot Viper Elite 5 Ultra DDR5-6400 2x24GB is a quality memory kit that features SK hynix's legendary M-die ICs for maximum overclocking potential.
