Page 7 - Benchmark: CS:S cs_militia

Benchmark notes: Counter-Strike: Source is used in this review to prove one thing: Although it is based off the same Half-Life 2 engine, it is extremely popular -- so why not use it as part of our benchmarks? The map cs_militia is used in our custom timedemo to see HDR rendering capabilities of the cards as well.

1680x1050 may be high resolution, but our 7600GT seems to have no problems handling it. The PowerColor X1550, on the other hand, is already beginning to show signs of choking with FPS below 17.

Turning up the settings, the FPS on the X1550 immediately dropped down to 11 FPS at 2xMSAA and 8xAF.

With everything maxed out, the final average FPS was 7.
