ROCCAT Kone AIMO Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

When I opened up the box of the ROCCAT Kone AIMO, I have to say I was really dazzled by the lights and look of the mouse. In terms of build and design, I like ROCCAT mice in general and the Kone AIMO is no different. The translucent lights shine bright and the AIMO effects are really good looking. By its specifications, the mouse looks to be great for medium to large hands. Button arrangement is well laid out, even with my smaller hands. Not only does it look good, but it performs well too. Packing ROCCAT's Owl Eye sensor into this mouse means the Kone AIMO is ready for gaming and for everyday use. It tracks well in many genres of games and did not hamper me in any way. There was no signs of lag and the buttons offered excellent feedback. While I did have qualms with the mouse, a lot of them were attributed to the fact I am not the intended audience for the Kone AIMO. This is not to say there is no room for improvement and ROCCAT can work on some issues I have with the Kone AIMO. The main thing I think ROCCAT could improve upon are the physical aspects of the mouse. I think it is completely fair for them to make a mouse with a larger body, but they could make improvements to make the mouse easier to hold. This includes making it lighter and changing the surface to make it easier to grip. They should also improve on the braided cable flexibility so it does not affect user movement. Overall, I can say the mouse is not meant for me, but the ROCCAT Kone AIMO is still a very capable mouse in the right hands. At a retail price of $80 USD, the ROCCAT Kone AIMO is a pricier option. Thankfully, it is not let down by performance, looks, or ease of use, making the Kone AIMO a great mouse for people with bigger hands.
