Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

Despite the lone bright spot, Mike Smith was unable to keep the ship afloat before the team succumbed to the onslaught of pressure by the Colorado Avalanche. It was rather unfortunate, because it seemed like his efforts were in vain. On the other hand, when we take a look at the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless, this is more of a story where there are several bright spots with one area that is a little less than desirable. With its build quality and aesthetics, these feel well built, despite a plastic exterior. The shape of the earphones should allow them to stay in the ear, but they still would have been benefited by the inclusion of optional ear hooks. The carrying case is a solid shell with a refined fabric finish. In day-to-day use, the rated battery life is achievable, but not necessarily remarkable. I like the implemented media and call controls, as actions are picked up easily on the touch sides. However, when we move to the area of audio quality, I think Sennheiser could have made some tweaks. If you are looking for a bassy pair of earphones, then the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless can definitely provide the oomph. However, in combination with a recessed upper region, the Momentum True Wireless lost some brightness or energy. This sound characteristic unfortunately played a role in affecting the details in the upper range too. Otherwise, there were some small nits and picks with things like the mobile app or providing a manual on/off switch as well as some noticeable latency. At a retail price of $300 USD, the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless hits many notes with providing a truly wireless experience, but they would still benefit from some improvements, especially at this price point.
