SilverStone IceMyst 360 Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

With the IceMyst 360, SilverStone has clearly combined their past expertise with some new innovations. For familiar aspects, we have a standard looking aluminum radiator with braided tubing for a nicer look. This includes an easy to access refill port and solid build quality. At the other end is a standard CPU pump combination block with expected material choices like copper for excellent thermal conductivity. All of these things are pretty conventional for an all-in-one liquid cooler. However, there are a couple of new things that make the IceMyst 360 stand out. For one, three 120mm fans are controlled with removable cables that lead to a PWM and an addressable lighting header. This makes cabling and installation straightforward. Secondly, the CPU block can be expanded upon with additional fans to provide flexible airflow to components near the processor. As for installation, everything is straightforward whether you build in an Intel or AMD system. We have an easy-to-follow method with all the necessary accessories, like thermal grease and a lighting controller, included out of the box. As for performance, the IceMyst 360 is a step above other options, providing the best results we have tested yet. In terms of improvements, I would want a reduction in noise output in both low and high loads. At the time of the review, the SilverStone IceMyst 360 is available for $137. In addition, the add-on IMF70-ARGB fans are available for $16 each. Given its capabilities, I think both of these prices are very reasonable, making the SilverStone IceMyst 360 a worthy choice for keeping your system cool.
