About ATTO Disk Benchmark

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

After our AIDA64 tests, our next benchmark up is ATTO. Ever since we have started using it in our network attached storage reviews a few years ago, it has been integral to our battery of storage performance evaluations here at APH Networks -- mainly due to its accuracy and thorough testing in accordance to varying transfer sizes. As you can see on our graphs above, the Kingston DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0 32GB's read performance greatly exceeds its write performance; peaking at 194.989 MB/s and 45.652 MB/s, respectively. These results are similar with our AIDA64 results on the previous page. Once again, you know while this flash drive is not meant for speed (Or as Jeremy Clarkson says, “SPEEEEEED!”), it can take on challengers and hold its own ground well. Oddly enough, the DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0 is also quite a bit faster than the competition for smaller transfer sizes. In fact, from 0.5 to 16KB files, the recorded write speeds are faster than every USB flash drive we have tested in the past, and its read speeds outperform the Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 64GB and the ADATA DashDrive Elite UE700 64GB. At larger file sizes, the Kingston DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0 keeps pace with the faster USB 3.0 drives, although it falls short of Kingston's 250MB/s read rating.
