About Crystal Disk Mark

- Measure sequential reads/writes speed
- Measure random 512KB, 4KB, 4KB (Queue Depth=32) reads/writes speed
- Select test data (Random, 0Fill, 1Fill)

Moving onto our third benchmark, Crystal Disk Mark 3.0, we can see somewhat of a similar story as we have seen in our past tests. First with the sequential tests, the Patriot Supersonic Rage 2 obtains the fastest read speed at 364.2 MB/s. The write speed is a slower 70.01MB/s, which is bested out by some of our recent drives like the Kingston HyperX Fury 64GB. However, these numbers are both still improvements over the original Rage XT. For the 512K random tests, the Patriot Supersonic Rage 2 is once again king of the hill for read with a 228.6MB/s, besting out the Silicon Power Blaze B05. As for the write, it pulls out a 39.96MB/s performance. While this does not seem particularly high in numbers, it comes in second compared to all of our tested USB drives. When it comes to 4KB and 4KB queue depth 32 tests, these benchmarks demand high input/output operations per second (Also referred to as IOPS). Looking at the Patriot Supersonic Rage 2, these numbers are one of the slower results. Surprisingly, the read results are behind many others, while the write numbers are respectable and near the top of the pack.
