From PC Mag: Samsung has unveiled a suite of on-device AI features for its smart TVs.
The company's Vision AI, unveiled today at CES 2025, introduces some popular smartphone features, such as Click to Search and Live Translate, to Samsung’s TVs. It also enables TVs to function as central hubs for devices compatible with the SmartThings platform.
SW Yong, head of Samsung’s visual display business, says Samsung sees TVs as "interactive, intelligent partners that adapt to your needs."
Click to Search functions like Google’s Circle to Search, allowing users to learn more about who or what is on screen without interrupting the viewing experience.
Live Translate, a feature borrowed from the Galaxy AI experience, provides real-time subtitle translation for video content. According to Samsung, this feature would help viewers “enjoy global content seamlessly.”
