UGREEN MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank Review

How often does your phone run out of battery before the end of the day? For me, it is basically never even though I use between 90% to 100% per day on average, but with a bit of an asterisk. I plug in my phone overnight, and it will be charged to my preset limit of 80%. I usually take a nap in the afternoon, which I will also plug in my phone for it to be charged to the preset limit. One could say my phone gets charged when I get charged. But what if I am out for the entire day and do not have access to an outlet to charge my phone in the afternoon? That is indeed a realistic problem -- and it happened a number of times when I was travelling out of the country a few years ago. Eventually, I borrowed a power bank, but it was frustrating as it was old, bulky, and did not support fast charging. Nowadays, I usually have my Apple MacBook Air in my backpack, so I just use that as to give my phone a mid-day boost when there is no outlet around. But what if I am going somewhere and I do not way to carry a $2000 laptop with a 15" screen just to charge my phone? Well, let us go back to the portable charger. I want something that is compact, can charge my phone enough times, and do so quickly. The UGREEN MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank promises to do all of the above, plus a few tricks like Qi2 wireless charging and liquid cooling to keep its own temperature down. How well will it perform in the real world? Read on to find out!

Our review unit of the UGREEN MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank arrived in a small brown corrugated cardboard box from UGREEN's headquarters in Shenzhen, China. It was transferred to Canada Post when it landed in the Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and arrived to us in Calgary, Alberta, Canada via the Expedited service. Everything arrived in great condition after traveling halfway across the world for our review today.

This is the first time for me to review a UGREEN product here at APH Networks, but it is not the first UGREEN product I have owned. The company's power accessories have been very popular with consumers, and I have personally purchased two USB Type-C chargers and two 240W USB Type-C cables from them in the past. With that in mind, our MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank arrived in its retail packaging. As you can see in our photo above, the box art is clean and modern. A photo of the MagFlow Pro in three-quarter view is shown in front of a silver background. At the top left corner, you will find UGREEN's logo. Under it are five feature highlights along with an icon indicating it is airline approved. At the bottom, there is a product name and description on the left and a Qi2 25W logo on the right. A specifications table can be found on the back, along with regulatory information.

Before we move on, let us take a look at the features and specifications of the UGREEN MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank, as obtained from the reviewer's guide:

Out of the box, everything is neatly laid out thanks to a white cardboard tray, and the fact there is not a whole lot of stuff to begin with. You will receive the UGREEN MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank itself, nylon drawstring bag, and some product literature all in multiple languages. The included product literature consists of a user manual, help guide, and user instructions. I think two of the three are mislabeled, as the "help guide" are additional notes and warnings, and the "user instruction" sheet is actually regulatory information. This is a practical bundle that contains pretty much only what you need, although I am not sure what else one could reasonably expect from a power bank bundle, haha.
