UGREEN MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

When looking at portable chargers, I want something that is compact, can charge my phone enough times, and do so quickly. The UGREEN MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank promises to do all of the above, plus a few tricks like Qi2 wireless charging and liquid cooling to keep its own temperature down. How well did it perform in the real world? To start, its form factor is indeed reasonable at 10.85cm deep, 7.06cm wide, and 1.63cm thick and tips the scales at 230g. The MagFlow Pro feels solid, and comes with convenient features like a built-in braided USB Type-C cable that doubles as a strap loop, separate USB Type-C port, and MagSafe compatibility that works well in sticking to the back of your Apple device. Inside, it features a quality 39.2Wh ATL battery with circuitry that is liquid cooled. The coolant flow screen in the front is unique and looks cool when the micro pump is operating. I also like the small LED screen on the side with an intuitive interface that displays vital information such as battery percentage and power flow rate. When it comes to actual charging performance, the UGREEN MagFlow Pro packs all the latest technology, including up to 40W over USB Type-C and 25W over Qi2, and the tested charging performance fell well within expectations on all interfaces. There are some areas for improvement though. First, it can only charge itself at only up to 30W. Faster charging for the power bank itself will be nice. Second, when attached to a standard-size iPhone, it sticks out slightly at the bottom. Third, the cable is not removable, so if it breaks, the cable will literally function as a strap loop only. Lastly, the coolant pump is also audible in a quiet room with a buzzing noise during operation, which may bother some users. For about $95 at press time, it is a pretty penny to pay for a 10000mAh power bank, but the UGREEN MagFlow Pro is loaded with features -- and a big improvement from its $150 MSRP.
