From PC Mag: Sick of switching between different launchers to find all your PC games? Microsoft wants you to do it all through its Xbox app in its latest effort to become the home of PC gaming. The Xbox app for both PC and handheld devices will now show all games installed, even if you bought them from other stores.
Compatible third-party storefronts include Battle.net, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Steam, alongside Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox library. Microsoft has yet to reveal a full compatibility list, so there are likely other storefronts that also work. Some early testing has seen the EA App and Ubisoft Connect work with the feature, but some users have found it inconsistent.
The tweaked interface will show you where the game is from with it listed underneath the title's name. You can then choose to launch a game directly from the Xbox app.
Jason Beaumont, VP of Experiences at Xbox says, “When you install a game from a supported PC storefront, it automatically appears in “My Library” within the Xbox PC app, as well as the “Most Recent” list of titles in the sidebar, so you can jump back into your favorite games with just a click.”
